The suspect in the incident of sexually assaulting a doctor at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital has been taken into custody by the Galnewa Police. Nilanka Madhuranga Ratnayake (Bunty) is a deserter from the army.
The arrested suspect is scheduled to be produced before the court after questioning. The suspect was arrested through the mobile phone stolen from the doctor.
He had been released from remand custody in connection with a drug case the day before the incident.
