Police have recovered 123 live bullets from a bag in the luggage rack of a bus heading to Badulla from Colombo. The discovery was made near the Bandarawela bus stand following a tip-off.
The ammunition found in a metal box included 113 pistol bullets, 9 T-56 bullets and a T-56 LMG bullet. No suspects have been identified yet and investigations are ongoing.
