The main suspect in the shooting and killing of an organized criminal named Ganemullae Sanjeewa in the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court on the morning of the 19th was arrested in the Palaviya area of Puttalam this evening. Initial investigations have revealed that this suspect committed the murder in association with another woman.
The arrested suspect will also be brought to the Colombo Crimes Division for further investigation. It has also been revealed that this suspect is a person who appeared under several names and he had several identity cards. This suspect also had a lawyer’s ID card as a lawyer.
He first appeared under the name Mohamed Azam Sherildeen, then under the name Samindu Dilshan Piyumanga Kandanarachchi and also under the name Kodikarage Kasun Prabath Nissanka in the lawyer’s identity card he had prepared.
Accordingly, after further investigations regarding this person, his true information and the crimes he is involved in, as well as those who aided and abetted him in committing this crime, and all information related to this conspiracy will be revealed after investigations. Further investigations in this regard are to be conducted by the Colombo Crimes Division.

Also, investigations are currently underway regarding the woman involved in this crime and it has been revealed in the preliminary investigations conducted so far that she has aided and abetted the crime.
