Attorney General’s advice delayed in Namal’s case.

The police have informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court that they have not yet received the Attorney General’s advice on the case filed against Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and a group for laundering a sum of fifteen million rupees.

Accordingly, the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has sent a reminder to the Attorney General on February 13th, asking him to expedite the legal advice.

Further investigations have also been adjourned to August 7th. The other suspects in the case are Sudarshana Bandara Ganewatta, Nithya Senani, Sujani Bogollagamage, and Indika Prabath Karunajeewa. Investigations have been conducted into the purchase of a company called Hello Corporation with money earned from NR Consultants and Gawras Corporation, which are said to belong to Namal Rajapaksa.
