Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Kabir Hashim points out that approval has been sought from the supplementary estimate presented to Parliament this time for Rs. 3213 million to reimburse the payments made by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to financial and legal consultants related to the debt restructuring process.
Ranil Wickremesinghe and his government went to the veldpalam to build the country wearing clothes, but today President Anura Dissanayake and the current government are going to the veldpalam without clothes, he says. He expressed these views while addressing the debate on the supplementary estimate in Parliament today.
He said that MPs should know the information about the debt sustainability agreement and added that they want to know whether the previous government is moving forward with the agreement reached or whether it has gone for a new agreement.
