The cabinet has approved the construction of 1,996 housing units under the Chinese government’s assistance program for low-income people.
Construction of 1,996 housing units under the Chinese government’s assistance program for low-income people has been decided to be implemented under 3 packages. It is said that bids have been invited from 8 bidders nominated by the Chinese government to implement the project.
Based on the recommendations made by the Technical Evaluation Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet after the evaluation of the bids, the Cabinet has approved the proposal submitted by the Minister of Rural and Urban Development, Housing and Construction to award the following contracts.
Package 01 – Contract for construction of 575 housing units at Moratuwa and 108 housing units at Kotta M/s Chins Railway 25th Bureau Group Co. Ltd
Package 02 – Award of contract to M/s China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd for construction of 586 housing units in Dematagoda and 112 housing units in Maharagama.
Package 03 – for the construction of 615 housing units in Peliyagoda as M/s Shanxi Construction Investinent Group Co. Ltd. grant to
