Ilankei Tamil Arasu Katchi (ITAK) MPs will get ministerial positions under the National People Power (NPP) government, says NPP General Secretary Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe. He says that there has been no official discussion in this regard and there is no such need.
So far, the NPP has fielded candidates covering all the districts for the general election.
He said that since his party has presented candidates for all the districts without the support of others, it will be possible to get the majority in the parliament.
Meanwhile, former Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila said in a village meeting that the NPP agreed to give the post of Foreign Minister to MA Sumanthiran, a member of the ITAK party.
