37 years ago, in 1987, sending the Indian peacekeeping force to Sri Lanka was a mistake by the Indian government, said Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Jayashankar says. This will be mentioned in his recently published book called The India way.
The book ‘Indian Mawatha’ translated into Sinhala by Pathfinder Foundation includes some special notes on the ethnic problem in Sri Lanka. Also, the foreign minister has emphasized in his book that although India worked hard for the peacekeeping mission in Sri Lanka, it received less attention.
