UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has stated that billions of people around the world are experiencing a “heat epidemic” as the world temperature has risen to a record high, according to foreign media.
He has also asked countries to take steps to find solutions to climate change.
He also says that it is not possible to get rid of this hot situation until the use of fossil fuels is stopped.
A recent report by the International Labor Organization (ILO) states that more than 70 percent of the global workforce (2.4 billion people) are currently at high risk of extreme temperatures.
