National People’s power leader Anura Dissanayake states that until a new system is prepared to create harmony between the Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim communities, the provincial council system will be implemented under his government in the same way as it is.
But he said that his party will never accept the provincial council system as a solution to the national problem.
He says that the Tamil and Muslim communities believe that the Provincial Council is a right they have won and that abolishing the system will cause unnecessary problems. He mentioned this while addressing a public meeting of the party held in London, Britain.
