Police Media Spokesperson DIG Nihal Talduwa asked the public not to post information about their holidy plan on social media during the April festival season.
He says that people who go on trips outside the home especially during the New Year should avoid sharing information about those trips on social media. He pointed out that organized crime groups use this information to rob homes during this time.
He also asked people to activate CCTV cameras from those leaving their homes. The Police Media Spokesperson said this while joining a central meeting held today.
