A new CT scanner for Matara District General Hospital

Matara District General Hospital has been given a new CT scanner worth 200 million rupees. This new machine was handed over to the hospital in a ceremony held yesterday with the participation of the Minister of Health and Industry Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Health Secretary Dr. Palitha Mahipala and other invited guests.

Capable of performing 40 to 50 CT scans per day, the capacity of this machine can be further expanded in the future. Accordingly, the existing waiting list for CT scan tests will be completed quickly.
