During a recent visit to India, Tourism Minister Harin Fernando said, “Lanka is a part of India!” President Ranil Wickramasinghe, the Rajapaksas, and the opposition leader including the opposition groups remain silent in the face of the serious statement, said National Freedom Front leader, Member of Parliament Wimal Weerawansa.
He mentioned this at a press conference held at the National Freedom Front’s head office in Pitakott.
“Recently in India, Tourism Minister Harin Fernando publicly declared, ‘Lanka is a part of India!’ It is a serious statement for a Sri Lankan minister to say that ‘Lanka is a part of India!’ Minister Harin Fernando said not only this statement, but also that ‘we will give all our airports, ports etc. to India’,” said MP Wimal Weerawansa.
