Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that he is ready for a public debate as suggested by the leader of National People’s power, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, but for that, the leader of that party, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, should participate representing the opposite party.
The minister said that the MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake will not participate in the debate. If former MP Wasantha Samarasinghe is presented as his representative, the minister said that he is also ready to present a representative.
“Anura Kumara said that his party accepted my challenge for a public debate. He said that Wasantha Samarasinghe will send his representative. If he sends his representative, I will also send my representative. Wasantha Samarasinghe is not even an MP. If he is, then Ranjan Jayalal can be sent, then the trade unions too. A leader can be sent to debate,” he said.
