Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said yesterday in Parliament that his party’s door is open 24 hours a day for a clean person like Roshan Ranasinghe. However, sports commentators point out that during the tenure of the current sports minister, rugby and football have been banned internationally in Sri Lanka, and the reason for this is political interference in sports.
The opposition leader further said that Parliament unanimously approved the process of driving out the corrupt gang that controls cricket, but the Speaker did not allow the vote to be taken on it, and thus lost the opportunity to protest by using the name vote.
