Israel says it has killed two Hamas military commanders, a week after the terror attack that killed 1,300 Israelis.
The statement issued by the Israeli army states that Ali Qadi, a company commander of the so-called Nukba commando unit, who led one of the attacks on October 7, and Murad Abu Murad, the head of the Hamas air force, are the leaders who have been killed.
Ali Qadi was arrested by Israel in 2005 for the kidnapping and murder of Israeli businessman Sasson Nuriel and was released to Gaza as part of the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner swap.
The Israeli announcement further states that these two were killed by continuous drone and airstrikes.
