Former Member of Parliament Samantha Vidyaratne mentions that the President and Podu Jana Peramuna are holding talks to abolish the office of Executive President because they know that they will be defeated in the presidential election.
He said that his party agrees to abolish the office of executive president as a matter of policy but opposes skipping the elections as he knows the sure defeat.
He said this while addressing the media in Badulla.
