Dasun Shanaka, the captain of the Sri Lanka ODI cricket team, says that he is ready to resign as the captain of the national cricket ODI if necessary. He mentioned this in a discussion held at the Cricket Institute yesterday.
In this discussion which lasted for a very long time, the Sri Lankan captain has emphasized the possibility of developing his batting ability before the selection committee.
However, it is reported that the cricket selection committee has decided to handover the captaincy of the Sri Lankan team to Dasun Shana in the upcoming ODI World Cup without considering Dasun’s resignation.
The coach of the team, Chris Silverwood, had emphasized yesterday that Dasun Shanaka should continue to lead the Sri Lankan team.
