A suspect who was remanded on suspicion of murdering a mother and her 11-month-old daughter in Anguruwathota area has hanged himself and died in prison.
The suspect, who is an ex-army soldier, hanged himself in a prison ward yesterday afternoon, according to the prison police. The body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination
