Sanjay Mahawatta, the president of the ”Magen Ratata” organization, lodged a complaint with the Illegal Assets Investigation Division today, urging an inquiry into the utilization of model Piyumi Hansamali’s Range Rover, bearing number CBH 1949, used by former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
During a media briefing, Mahawatta highlighted that Piyumi Hansamali presently resides in a lavish mansion. He raised concerns over the acquisition of her assets and called for a thorough investigation into the matter.
Mahawatta stated that the value of the vehicle utilized by Piyumi Hansamali is estimated at only 100 million rupees. He raised suspicions that she may be involved in laundering politicians’ illicit funds, especially as she is not frequently seen acting in TV dramas.
