President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that the entire fuel supply chain has been hit by a severe management crisis due to the inability to obtain two tankers related to two long-term tenders of 90,000 metric tons of crude oil each that were scheduled to be imported into the country on time.
In addition, the President stated that information has been received that another tanker belonging to private sector oil traders will not arrive in the country on the scheduled date. The President said that the relevant parties have informed that the arrival of these tankers will be delayed.
