The American Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, has expressed her concern about the rejection of the accusations leveled against the United States by the book “9 – The Hidden Story” written by MP Wimal Weerawansa, about the Gallu face Struggle.
In a tweet, she said the allegations were ‘baseless’ and spread blatant lies in a book labeled as “fiction” by the MP.
“For 75 years, the United States and Sri Lanka have been supporting democracy, sovereignty and prosperity. We hope to continue that support in the future,” she said in her tweet.
