Media Ministry Secretary Anusha Palpita told the country at the COPA Committee that the system of rating television channels in Sri Lanka is a lie.
He said that these TV channel ratings are done by placing 450 boxes in selected homes and counting the number of TV channels watched by those homes.
He said that about 300 of these boxes will be bought by some channels and money will be given to those house owners and through that, they will own numbers one and two.
