The Anuradhapura Municipal Council has prepared to hold the “Puravara Udanaya” fun festival held during the GCE O/L Examination period at the Anuradhapura Harischandra Park this year as well.
Harischandra Park is located very close to Valisingha Harischandra Maha Vidyalaya, Swarnapali Girls’ Maha Vidyalaya and Anuradhapura Madhya Vidyalaya which are functioning as examination centres.
The teachers and parents have pointed out to the event organizers that it is inappropriate to hold musical concerts in a park near the schools where the examination centers are operating during the examination period.
