North West Police Chiefs transferred due to S.T.F Police Clash.

It is reported that several chief police officers of the North-West Province have been transferred to the police headquarters by the Inspector General of Police.

The reason for this transfer was that a group of police special task force officers assaulted a police constable of Navaghattagama police station in Anamaduwa Alankulama area on the last 22 days and went to court without settling the case says police sources.

The emergency transfer has been given to North West Senior DIG L.S. Patinayake, Puttalam Deputy Inspector General of Police S.M.Y.M. Senaviratne, Puttalam Senior Superintendent of Police Pushpakumara, Anamaduwa Superintendent of Police H.M.C.P. Herat and Anamaduwa Police Station Chief Inspector of Police Nilantha R.
