Kusal and Madushka score double centuries in second Test against Ireland

The Sri Lankan players who are playing the first innings of the second test match between the visiting Irish team and the Sri Lankan team are in a strong batting attack. So far, the Sri Lankan team has managed to score 651 runs by losing three wickets. The Irish team, who batted first in the match, were all out for 492 runs

Newcomer Nishan Madushka, who is playing his second Test match, managed to record his maiden double century. His double century included 22 fours and one six. He came to the field as the opening batsman and was dismissed for 205 runs.

The other opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne also managed to score 115 runs. He and Nishan Madushka saw a 228-run partnership for the first wicket. Kusal Mendis also scored 245 runs in this innings and his double century included 14 fours and 9 sixes. Experienced player Angelo Mathews scored an unbeaten 60.
