The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has further relaxed the restrictions imposed on imports. Accordingly, it is reported that the cash margin requirement (Cash Margin) has been removed for 843 items while importing those items.
It is reported that these 843 items include many essential items including mobile phones, refrigerators, electric fans and fruits. According to market sources, the prices of many commodities are going to decrease further in the future.
