The Election Commission has handed over a full report to the Attorney General regarding all the activities that have been done so far in relation to the election, including how the date for the parliamentary election was fixed on November 14.
That is according to the recent notice given by the Attorney General’s Department to the Election Commission to provide relevant information. Based on this report, the Attorney General is also scheduled to present facts before the Supreme Court on the 4th.
A fundamental rights petition has been filed before the Supreme Court requesting a ruling that the decision taken to hold the parliamentary elections on November 14 is unconstitutional.
