The minister emphasized that the decision taken by the previous government to give the order to ”Thales Ltd” and its Sri Lankan agent, ”Just In Time Tech Technologies,” was wrong or right, the order will not be cancelled.

Commenting on the new government’s decision not to cancel the order, the minister said that if the order is canceled, there will be a shortage of passports.

The minister said that the first batch of passports supplied by Thales was to be received in Sri Lanka between the 15th and 20th, and the second batch of 100,000 passports was to be received at the end of November.
