The annual cricket match between Wesley College, Colombo and St. Benedict’s College, Kotahena for the James Cartman Trophy ended in a draw yesterday (01) afternoon.
St. Benedict’s, who had won the match, invited Wesley College to bat first. Wesley’s players were dismissed for 208 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their first innings. St. Benedict’s College, who played the reply, scored 235 runs in their first innings.
Wesley College players, who started their second innings after being behind by 27 runs, had scored 255 runs for the loss of 7 wickets by the end of the match.
The match was held at the P. Sara Oval Stadium in Colombo.
