Three people who came to shoot at Thusitha Halloluwa’s car, who made a statement that President Anura Dissanayake had invested a large sum of money in a Greek shipping company, were arrested this morning. It is reported that the person who rode the motorcycle on which the shooter arrived and two other suspects who assisted him were among the group, and the arrests were made by the Colombo Crimes Division.
The investigation into the shooting that took place on May 17 in the Narahenpita area targeting Thusitha Halloluwa, a former executive director of the National Lotteries Board, was handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division on May 18.
The two motorcyclists who chased the car fired shots in the air. At that time, Thusitha Halloluwa and his lawyer were in the car and were attacked by the shooters. The shooters who opened fire on the car also fled with a file from the car, police said.
