There is no reasonable cause to arrest Manusha. CID tells court.

The Criminal Investigation Department informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today that no facts have been revealed during the investigations that could justify the arrest of former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara.

The Criminal Investigation Department had summoned the former Minister to appear before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court to consider the request filed by him before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court for anticipatory bail, and the Criminal Investigation Department informed the court of this.

President’s Counsel Saliya Peiris, who appeared for the former Minister, also informed the court that she is ready to give a statement to the Criminal Investigation Department tomorrow regarding the incident of providing employment opportunities in South Korea to Sri Lankan workers under the E8 visa category.
