The police have arrested the main suspect in the case of yesterday’s hacking to death of five people at a house in Delft Island, Jaffna. Police Media Spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Advocate Nihal Talduwa said.
He said that when the suspect was arrested last night (22), three gold necklaces, two pairs of bangles, a single bangle, 8 rings, two earrings and a pendant as well as two mobile phones were found in the suspect’s possession.
The police further stated that the suspect will be detained and brought to court for questioning. Two men and three women were murdered in a house in Maveli area near the jetty on Delft Island, Jaffna.
