President Ranil Wickramasinghe states that the 13th constitutional amendment is part of the constitution of the country’s government and we have promised many countries that it will be implemented. Therefore, he said that it cannot be avoided and he said that he is ready to implement it for the betterment of the country.
The President said that it is necessary to implement the 13th Amendment in a manner that is suitable for the growth and future of the nation, and to do this, a consensus among all parliamentarians is needed through broad and open-minded discussions.
The President said this in a special statement while addressing the Parliament today.
