Sri Lankan Airlines hampered by Indo-Pakistan crisis

Due to the crisis situation between India and Pakistan, Sri Lankan Airlines’ operations will continue to incur high operating costs and there is a risk of losing revenue from transporting goods by ship to the Colombo Port.

Due to possible security concerns and possible disruptions to travel, Sri Lankan Airlines will have to change its flight routes and use longer routes, which will increase costs.

These situations have arisen since about 20% of tourists visiting the country are Indians.
