Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva has taken over as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Before assuming the position, he served as the Chairman of the Asian Cricket Council’s Finance and Marketing Committee.
“It is a great honour to lead the Asian Cricket Council. Cricket is the heartbeat of Asia and I look forward to working closely with all member nations to uplift the game, provide opportunities for emerging talents and strengthen the bonds that unite us through this beautiful game,” he said upon assuming the new position.
On behalf of the Asian Cricket Council, Shammi Silva began his tenure by expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing President Jay Shah.
