Several areas including Colombo have been severely damaged by falling trees due to strong winds that blew last night (30).
Trees were seen falling from the Colombo-Galle road from Kollupitiya to Wellawatte as well as in several areas around Grandpass. A large tree fell on St. Joseph’s Mawatha in Grandpass, damaging 6 nearby houses.
However, the residents were able to save their lives from this accident.
