Ranil to India to deliver keynote speach at global conference

Former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to leave for New Delhi, India today (27) to deliver a keynote address on global issues, according to reports . The address, attended by diplomats and distinguished guests, will be held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Friday tomorrow (28)

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott are also scheduled to deliver speeches here.

Former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to focus on the geopolitical landscape, economic challenges and regional cooperation in South Asia in his address, according to reports.

The former president is also scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Modi during this visit. This is his third visit to India in recent times.
