President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport in Vietnam this morning (04).
The Sri Lankan President and his delegation were received at Noi Bai International Airport by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong, Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Nong Thi Ha, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Trinh Thi Tam and the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vietnam.
Vietnamese media reported that this is the first visit by a Sri Lankan leader to Vietnam since 2009, although Vietnam-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations were established in 1970.
The Sri Lankan President is on a state visit to Vietnam from today until the 6th. The visit is at the invitation of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
