The Joint Postal Trade Union Front says that the strike initiated by the postal trade unions based on several demands will be implemented today (March 18) as well.
Chinthaka Bandara, co-convener of the Joint Postal Trade Union Front, stated that over 1 million letters and parcels have piled up in post offices due to this strike, which began the day before yesterday (March 16) afternoon.
However, Jagath Mahinda, Chairman of the Lanka Postal Services Union, which supports the ruling party, stated that this strike is unsuccessful.
