Samagi Jana Balavega Member of Parliament Harsha De Silva states that Sri Lanka’s international bond holders say that the NPP Economic Group has no understanding of the country’s debt restructuring program.
Addressing a presidential election rally held in Mawathagama by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, he said that Sri Lankan bondholders who came to Sri Lanka last week met and held discussions with his party, NPP and other groups.
He said that the National People’s Power is a group that does not even know the basic work of the debt restructuring process and the group expressed surprise that they are presenting an alternative program to the current work order.
The MP also emphasized that the people of the country should know that if this program is messed up, the country will fall to a worse place than where it fell in 2022.
