New committee to resolve village cases in the village

Deputy Minister of Public Security Sunil Watagala says that steps will be taken to establish Public Security Committees in all Grama Niladhari divisions in line with the Clean Sri Lanka program. He said that the relevant circular will be issued soon.

“We are forming a village committee under the Clean Sri Lanka program. A circular will be issued stating the tasks assigned to that village committee. We are forming a Public Security Committee in the village. There are big conflicts. We are forming a Public Security Committee to review them. Who is in this committee . The Grama Sevaka, the Divisional Secretary will guide this. Not only that, the officer from the Divisional Secretariat for drug prevention will also join this committee. In addition, an elder will be appointed as the chairman. We will appoint a committee. We will appoint a separate committee to maintain peace in the village.” He said.
