Member of Parliament and veteran actor Uddika Premaratne has been shot at.
The police said that the shooting took place in front of his house on Airport Road, Anuradhapura yesterday (17th) around 10.30 pm and there were signs that his car had been shot.
It is said that the MP got out of the car and entered the house through the gate when the shot was fired and the MP was not harmed. Having been elected to parliament from Podujana Peramuna, he recently made a special announcement and became an independent MP.
