Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Dr. Harsha de Silva alleges that the Dambulla agricultural storage complex, which can control temperature and humidity, which was opened during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the country, is not yet operational.
Participating in an inspection yesterday (15), he stated that the current government has deceived the people by claiming that the storage complex in question has been opened.
Construction of the Dambulla agricultural storage complex, which was built with a capacity of 5,000 metric tons to control temperature and humidity, began during the Yahapalana government in 2019, when Dr. Harsha de Silva was the Minister of Economic Reforms and Public Supplies.
However, the complex was opened online on the 5th during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the country.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Dr. Harsha de Silva visited the complex yesterday to check on its current functioning and the MP had posted a live video on his Facebook account regarding the condition of the warehouse complex.
