Cricket Australia has imposed a twenty-year ban on former Sri Lankan Test cricketer Dulip Samaraweera, who worked as a cricket coach in Australia. He has been accused of violating the code of conduct of Cricket Australia.
Accordingly, he is barred from holding any position in Cricket Australia, any state or other cricket association or any Big Bash team.
An investigation by the country’s cricket authorities has revealed that he was accused of “inappropriate behaviour” while working as a coach at the State Cricket Council of Victoria.
He was later found guilty of the charges.
