The investigation committee appointed to investigate and report on the alleged misconduct and serious misuse of power by IGP Deshabandhu Tennakoon is scheduled to begin its investigation today (19).
Accordingly, it is reported that IGP Deshabandhu Tennakoon is scheduled to appear before the committee for the first time today. The IGP was recently notified through a notice to appear before the committee.
Accordingly, the investigation committee is scheduled to meet today (19) at 2.00 pm in the parliamentary committee room number 8.
This investigation committee has been appointed under the chairmanship of Supreme Court Judge Preethi Padman Surasena.
