Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday (24) ordered the government annaliser to summon the DNA reports of veteran English cricket commentator Brian Thomas in relation to the death of Dinesh Shafter, director of Janashakti Insurance Group.
The court made this request after considering the request of the members of the five-member panel of experts appointed by the court to investigate the incident.
This request has been made on the basis of a report made by the government annaliser that there are two unknown biological samples in the water bottle that was near Dinesh Shafter at the time of his death, the cable wire that was strangled to his neck and the cable tie that was tied on his hands.
The Gov. annaliser had reported to the court that even though the biological samples of the visitors were compared with the DNA samples of four people including the two employees of Borella Cemetery, they did not compare.
