Announcement from the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission on Starlink

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka states that media reports that it has decided to suspend the Starlink satellite service scheduled to be implemented in this country are false.

Accordingly, the Director General of the Commission, Bandula Herath, said that there is a need for a Dashboard system that will carry out the necessary regulations to provide this service and that there is some delay in bringing that system to the country.

Accordingly, the Director said that the Starlink satellite service is scheduled to be implemented from April as soon as the relevant systems are received in the country.
