American gift to Horana destroyed by tree

A tree has fallen on the clinical building worth crores of rupees that the Horana District Hospital received under American aid.

Although the construction was completed in 2023, this clinic building has not been opened until today. Yesterday afternoon, Horana and surrounding areas were hit by heavy rain and wind, and at that time, this tree fell on the building. However, no one was injured in this incident.

This clinical building has the necessary facilities for four clinics. This building, which has been prepared using four container boxes and is prefabricated, has provided all the necessary facilities for patients, doctors and employees.

Patients visiting the clinic, which has been built with all modern facilities such as household appliances and air conditioners, have been concerned for some time about the delay in the opening.

However, hospital sources say that this building was scheduled to open soon.
