There has been a heavy traffic jam between Kottawa and Pannipitiya on the high level road.
The police said that the traffic jam was caused by a large number of parents bringing their children in their cars for a match being held at Dharmapala Vidyalaya in Pannipitiya.
The police also stated that the officers of the Nugegoda Traffic Division are taking steps to remove the vehicles from the area concerned.
